Hui Ma Town, belonging to Daying County, Suining City, Sichuan Province, is located in the eastern part of Daying County, east of Hongjiang Town, Pengxi County, across the Fuling River, south of Guihua Town, Funshan District, west of Longsheng Town, Daying County, and north of Tuopai Town, Shehong. The area is 54.1 square kilometers, with a household population of 40,305 as of the end of 2019.
During the reign of Emperor Gaozong of Tang, the town of Ma Jie was set up. At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, it was called Walking Horse Kiln. At the end of Ming Dynasty, it was destroyed by soldiers. In the Republic of China, Huimafang was set up, and later changed to a township.In 1958, the district was changed to a commune.In 1984, the commune was changed to a town.In August 2019, the name of the town was abolished, and the administrative area belonging to it was transferred to the jurisdiction of Huimafang Town. As of June 2020, Huima Town has 2 communities and 11 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
