Tongtsi Township is a township under the jurisdiction of Shawan District, Leshan City, Sichuan Province. Shawan District key immigrant township - Tongtsi Township is located in the southernmost part of Shawan, 36 kilometers away from the city of Shawan. The township covers an area of 36.99 square kilometers. It has 7 administrative villages and 1 community neighborhood committee, with a total population of 5,336 (2017). The Dadu River and Provincial Highway 103 cross the township, and the famous Tongjiezi Power Station is located in the township.
In December 2019, the People's Government of Sichuan Province abolished Tongtsi Township and assigned the administrative areas belonging to the former Tongtsi Township Tongtsi Community, Laojie Village, Longzhu Village, Qinggangping Village, Yuanba Village and Jiangshan Village to the jurisdiction of Fulu Township, with the People's Government of Fulu Township stationed at No. 70, Fuxing Street.
The administrative area belonging to Anchi Village and Business Village of the former Tongts Township is transferred to the jurisdiction of Niushi Township, and the People's Government of Niushi Township is stationed at No. 85, Wuxiuyi Street.
