Dayou Township, formerly belonging to Guang'an District, Guang'an City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northern part of Guang'an District, adjacent to Xiehe Township in the east, bordering Huaqiao Township in the south, connecting with Pu Lian Township in the west, Fude Township in Peng'an County, Nanchong City, and bounded by Xinping and Guanlong Townships of Dazhou City's Quxian County in the north. The area is 20.04 square kilometers, with a household population of 14,757 as of the end of 2018.
In the Republic of China, it belongs to Huaqiao Township.In 1984, the commune was changed to a township.In October 1992, it was incorporated into Huaqiao Township.In June 1994, 14 villages in Huaqiao Township were analyzed to set up Dayou Township.In December 2019, Pulian Township, Dayou Township, and Consumption River Township were abolished, and the administrative areas belonging to them were assigned to the jurisdiction of Huaqiao Township.
