Gaoban Township (revoked), formerly under Jintang County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, is located in the central part of Jintang County, neighboring Longsheng Township in the east, bordering Pingqiao Township in the south, connected to Baiguo and Huaikou Townships in the west, bordering Sansi Township in the north, and Jinlong Township in the northeast, across the Zishui River. The town people's government is 35 kilometers away from Zhao Town, the county town. The total area is 46.33 square kilometers.
In the early Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Dadu Township.In October 1992, the 2 townships of Gaoban and Shilong were merged into Gaoban Township. As of the end of 2019, Gaoban Township had a household population of 38,756. As of October 2019, Gaoban Township has 2 communities and 7 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is stationed at Gaobanqiao Field in Xingqiao Community.On December 23, 2019, Pingqiao Township and Gaoban Township were abolished and Gaoban Street was set up, with the administrative area belonging to the former Pingqiao Township and the former Gaoban Township as the administrative area of Gaoban Street, and the Gaoban Street Office is stationed at No. 42, Commercial Street in Xingqiao Community.
