Sanfeng Town, belonging to Pengxi County, Suining City, Sichuan Province, is located in the south of Pengxi County, east of Pengnan Town, south of Lotus Leaf Township and Tongnan Mishen Township in Chongqing Municipality, west of Gaoping Township and north of Renlong Township. The area is 70.47 square kilometers, with a household population of 36,561 as of the end of 2018. In the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, the town of Jifengchang was set up.In 1953, the district of Jifeng was set up.In 1981, the name was changed to Sanfeng District.In September 1992, the district was changed to a town.In August 2019, the Jinlong Township was abolished, and the administrative area belonging to it was transferred to the jurisdiction of Sanfeng Town. As of June 2020, Sanfeng Township has 2 communities and 20 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
