Baofan Town, belonging to Pengxi County, Suining City, Sichuan Province, is located in the southern part of Pengxi County, bordering Mingfeng Town in the east, Dashi Town in the south, Huishui Township and Mingyue Township in the west, and Chicheng Town in the north. The area is 39.38 square kilometers, with a household population of 17,329 as of the end of 2018. In the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, Huilongchang was set up.In 1951, Huilong Township was set up.In 1981, the name was changed to Baofan Township.In October 1995, the township was changed to a town.
