Tokoto County, under the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Hohhot City, is located in the central part of the autonomous region, the southern foot of the Daqingshan Mountain, the Yellow River upstream and midstream of the northern shore of the division of the Tumecheon Plain. The administrative area covers 1,416.8 square kilometers. As of 2022, Toketo County has a resident population of 166,000 people. As early as 5,000 to 6,000 years ago in the Neolithic Age, there were human beings flourishing in Toketo County. In the twelfth year of King An of Zhou (390), Marquis Wu of Zhao built Yunzhong City here. During the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, the present county was incorporated into Tumet. Alatan Khan's righteous son "Toto" stationed in the pastoral Dongsheng Weicheng, the name of Tokoto from this. Qing dynasty qianlong twenty-five years (1760), changed to toketo council with the hall, referred to as toketo hall. In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the name of the original Toktor County was extended, referred to as Toktor County. As of October 2021, there were five towns and one township under the jurisdiction of the county people's government, which was located at No. 42 Dongsheng Street in Toktok County. In the first half of 2022, the gross regional product of Toktor County completed 8.583 billion yuan, and the added value of industry above scale completed 3.75 billion yuan. In October 2018, Toketo County was selected as one of the top 100 counties and cities in the country for green development.
