Park Overview
The Hohhot Jinshan National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, which was upgraded to a national-level high-tech zone with the approval of the State Council in December 2013, is located in the southeastern part of Hohhot. With a planned area of 20.2 square kilometers, it is the industrial park (chemical industrial park) closest to the city center. It ranks among the top 100 national chemical industrial parks in terms of comprehensive competitiveness, is incorporated into Hohhot’s unified territorial spatial plan, and ranks first in overall strength among development zones in the autonomous region. Currently, it has formed two major industrial clusters: modern petrochemicals and equipment manufacturing, as well as new materials. The zone focuses on fostering the clustered development of photovoltaic and semiconductor new materials, as well as the petrochemical industry. It is simultaneously developing strategic emerging industries and sectors such as hydrogen energy and energy storage, driving the construction of a new energy, hydrogen, and energy storage industrial cluster. By 2025, the park aims to achieve a total industrial output value of 58.3 billion yuan and fixed-asset investment of 2.5 billion yuan. The park features comprehensive infrastructure. The entire planned area meets the “Seven Utilities and One Leveling” standard, with 23 roads totaling 50 kilometers providing extensive connectivity. The area is equipped with 86 kilometers of utility lines for telecommunications, water, electricity, gas, and heating, and features 1.6 million square meters of green space. Additionally, one 110-kilovolt and one 220-kilovolt substation have been constructed.
