Qingshuihe County, belonging to Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the central part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the southernmost part of Hohhot City. It is bounded by the Ming Dynasty Great Wall in the southeast, and borders with Youyu County, Pinglu District, and Yiguan County of Shanxi Province; bounded by the Yellow River in the west, it is across the river from Jungar Banner of Ordos City; adjacent to the Guler Half a Few Rivers in the north it is connected with Helinger County; and in the northwest it borders with Toketo County, with a total area of 2,859 square kilometers.
As of 2021, Qingshuihe County had a household population of 137,400, with 12 ethnic groups living there, including Han, Mongolian, Manchu, and Hui. As of October 2021, there are 4 towns and 4 townships under the jurisdiction of Qingshuihe County.
Qingshuihe County, named after the Qingshui River in its territory. In the twenty-sixth year of Qin Shihuang (221 years ago), the county was disposed of in the present-day Lama Bay town of Yuanhushan east-south, the Yellow River on the east bank of the abduction on the eastern slopes of the village of Zhenling County.In 1958, it was assigned to the Ulanchab League.In 1995, it was assigned to the city of Hohhot in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.On April 18, 2019, the People's Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region approved the exit of Qingshuihe County from the sequence of poverty-stricken flag counties.
