Ertok Banner, formerly known as Erdos Right Wing Middle Banner, belongs to Erdos City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, located in the western part of Erdos City, between longitude 106°41′-108°54′E and latitude 38°18′-40°11′N, close to Hangjin Banner in the north, Ertok Qian Banner in the south, neighboring Wuhai City and the Yellow River with Alashan League and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the west; the terrain of the whole Banner is gently inclined from northeast to southwest, which is a temperate continental climate and is bordered by Wuxia Banner in the east. Yellow River and Alxa League and the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, east of the border with Uttarakhand Banner; the entire flag terrain from northeast to southwest gently inclined, a temperate continental climate. The total area is 21,000 square kilometers; it is known as the "West Gate" of Ordos; as of the end of 2022, the resident population of Ertuoqqi was 168,000, and the urbanization rate was 79.7%. As of January 2023, Ertok Banner has 4 towns and 2 soums under its jurisdiction, with the flag government in Wulan Town.
Ertok Banner, traditionally for the northern ethnic minorities nomadic, living and breathing place. It is the largest pastoral flag in the grassland area of Ikezhaomeng in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The flag was selected as one of the 2019 Top 100 Counties and Cities in Western China. Attractions in the city include the Xilin Tara Grassland Tourist Area.
In 2022, Ertuoqqi realized a gross regional product of 61.4 billion yuan, an increase of 5.4% year-on-year, with the ratio of the three industries at 2.4:82.4:15.2, and the per capita gross regional product reaching 369,850 yuan.
