The Ordos Comprehensive Bonded Zone is located within the Ordos Airport Logistics Park and was approved for establishment by the State Council on February 14, 2017.The zone has a planned area of 1.21 square kilometers and a total investment of 363 million yuan. The first phase covers 0.79 square kilometers and is divided into five major zones: the Bonded Processing Industrial Zone, the Bonded Exhibition Zone, the Bonded Logistics and Warehousing Zone, the Port Operations Zone, and the Bonded Service Zone.
The Ordos Comprehensive Bonded Zone is the first comprehensive bonded zone in the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Yulin urban cluster and benefits from the implementation of current national tax and foreign exchange management policies applicable to comprehensive bonded zones.Together with Ordos International Airport, the aviation port, and the inland port currently under construction, it forms a vital platform and frontline base for the opening-up of Ordos and Inner Mongolia. It holds significant strategic importance for Ordos in expanding its opening-up, promoting the development of an export-oriented economy, and achieving the revitalization, transformation, upgrading, and sustainable development of the real economy in resource-based regions.
