Dongsheng District, under the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Ordos City. It is located in the east of the center of Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, bordering with Jungar Banner in the east, Yijinholo Banner and Kangbashi District in the south, bordering with Hangjin Banner in the west and connecting with Dalat Banner in the north. It is the economic, scientific and technological, financial, transportation and information center of Ordos City. Dongsheng region has a total area of 2160 square kilometers, with 3 towns, 12 street offices and 3 parks under the jurisdiction of Dongsheng, and 21 nationalities such as Han, Mongolian and Hui. According to the seventh census data, as of April 2022, the total resident population of Dongsheng District is 576,300 people.

In 2021, the gross regional product of Dongsheng District completed 86.043 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 9.7% at comparable prices.In 2022, 103 flag counties and cities in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region GDP came out one after another, and Dongsheng District exceeded 90 billion yuan, surpassing the Hohhot Saihan District with 94.91 billion yuan to enter the fourth position in the region.
