Shaugen Town, belonging to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Chifeng City, Arukolqin Banner, is located in the southeast of Arukolqin Banner, east of Tongliao City, Zarut Banner, I and Tara Town, south of Tongliao City, Kailu County, Maixin Town, southwest of Barach Ruder Sumu, west of the Tianshankou Town, north of the Saihantala Sumu connected. The administrative area of Saugen Town covers 2099.9 square kilometers.At the end of 2018, Saugen Town had a household population of 21,491.
In 1956, from Deborah Nutuk (district) divided to build shaogen soum. 1958, changed shaogen commune. 1984, changed shaogen soum. 1996, changed shaogen town. 2006, qaidam soum, dao dao town merged into shaogen town. 2020 June, shaogen town jurisdiction of 23 administrative villages.
