Qingshan District, belonging to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Baotou City, is located in the western part of Inner Mongolia, the central part of Baotou City, the southern foot of the Daqingshan Mountain and the northwestern part of the Tumecheon Plain, adjacent to Jiuhuan District in the southeast, the Rare Earth Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone in the south, the Kundurun District in the west, the north and the Guyang County adjacent to the northeast and the Shibiao District as a neighbor, with a total area of about 280 square kilometers. As of June 2023, Qingshan District has 8 streets and 2 towns under its jurisdiction, and another industrial park. As of the end of 2022, Qingshan District had a resident population of 541,700.
Qingshan District, named after the southern foot of the rolling Daqing Mountains, was established in 1956. Qingshan District was awarded the "Safe and Smooth County" by six ministries and commissions in 2008, and was selected as one of the top 100 districts in the country in terms of comprehensive strength in 2017, and one of the top 100 industrial districts in 2018 in November.
In 2022, Qingshan District will realize a GDP of 75.69 billion yuan, of which the added value of the primary industry will be 430 million yuan, the added value of the secondary industry will be 37.66 billion yuan, and the added value of the tertiary industry will be 37.60 billion yuan.
