Erguna City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, county-level cities under the jurisdiction of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, by the Hulunbeier City on behalf of the city, located in northeastern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the north of Hulunbeier City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the highest latitude in the region, located in the northwestern foothills of the Daxing'anling Mountains, the northeastern end of the Hulunbeier Grasslands, the western and northern part of the Erguna River and the Russian Federation, is a cold-temperate continental climate, adjacent to the four banners, counties (cities), with a total area of 28444.64 square kilometers, the border line is 671.4 kilometers long. As of October 2022, Erguna City has 2 streets, 3 towns, 1 soum, 1 township, 2 ethnic townships, and another 4 township-level units under its jurisdiction. According to the seventh population census, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Erguna City was 68,482 people.
Erguna is a Mongolian word meaning "to hold up, to offer", and later gradually modified it to mean "dedication". Republic of China twenty-two years (1933), the pseudo-Manchukuo changed Erguna left-wing flag and Erguna right-wing flag; Republic of China thirty-seven years (1948), combined for the Erguna flag; in January 1966, the abolition of the Erguna flag, divided into the left and right flags; in 1994, the State Council agreed to abolish the right flag of the Erguna flag, the establishment of the city of Erguna (county level).
The main attractions of Erguna City include Morduga National Forest Park, Ulan Mountain Scenic Spot in Erguna City, and Erguna National Wetland Park in Inner Mongolia.On November 25, 2020, Erguna City was selected as one of the "Third Batch of Counties (Districts) on the List of Standards of Water-saving Society Construction".On March 28, 2022, Erguna City was selected as one of the "2022 Traditional Villages", which is one of the most important traditional villages in the country. In 2022, Ergunar City was selected as the "List of Demonstration Counties (Cities and Districts) for Concentrated and Continuous Protection and Utilization of Traditional Villages".
In 2021, Erguna City realized a gross domestic product (GDP) of 4.318 billion yuan, up 6.2% year-on-year; the ratio of value added of the first, second and third industries was 46.7:10.7:42.6; the total income of the local finances was 293 million yuan; the investment in fixed assets was 852 million yuan; and the per capita disposable income of all residents was 33,839 yuan, up 7.3% year-on-year.
