Harbrain Township, belonging to Beipiao City, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, is located in the western part of Beipiao City, neighboring Dasanjia Township in the east, Taohua Spit Township in Shuangta District in the south, Zhaoduba Township in Longcheng District in the west, and Longtan Township in the north. The area is 143.88 square kilometers, with a household population of 17,551 as of 2018.
During the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Chaoyang County, Jehol Division. During the Pseudo-Manchu period, it belonged to Har brain village commune, Xiguanying village commune, and Taohuatuo village commune in Tumet Zhongqi, Jinzhou province.In 1958, a commune was established.In 1984, it was changed to a township. As of June 2020, Har brain Township has 10 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
