Chaoyang City, ancient name of Longcheng, Xingzhong, Liaoning Province, prefecture-level city, located in northwestern Liaoning Province, the terrain for the north and north-west, southwest of the high, low to the east, in the north temperate continental monsoon climate zone, with a total area of 19,699.14 square kilometers. As of October 2022, the city has two districts and three counties under its jurisdiction, with two county-level cities in its stead. As of the end of 2022, Chaoyang had a resident population of 2.798 million. Chaoyang is a hub zone for political, economic and cultural exchanges between Northeast China and the Central Plains, and is a multiethnic historical city in Northeast China and a strategic location outside the Seychelles in all times.
