The Chaoyang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Liaoning Province is one of the first provincial-level economic and technological development zones in Liaoning to open up to the outside world. It serves as a pioneer zone for Chaoyang’s reform and opening-up, a window for opening up to the outside world, a new-style industrial park, and a provincial-level high-tech industrial park.In September 2014, the Party Working Committee and Administrative Committee of the Chaoyang Economic and Technological Development Zone were established. They share office space with the Party Working Committee and Administrative Committee of the Yandu New District, operating under a single leadership structure with two distinct titles. As a branch of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the zone is administered by Shuangta District and supported by the municipal government in its development. The Administrative Committee comprises seven internal departments, including the Project Service Bureau and the Economic Development Bureau, as well as three public institutions.In 2015, the Chaoyang Economic and Technological Development Zone relocated to the Yandu New District in the northern part of Chaoyang City’s central urban area.
