Park Overview
The Chaoyang Jianping Economic Development Zone was established in January 2015 and was upgraded to a provincial-level economic development zone in April 2016. The zone has a planned area of 29.6 square kilometers, with an initial development area of 5.9 square kilometers. It encompasses two subdistricts—Wanshou and Dongcheng—as well as 11 administrative villages, 3 residential communities, and a population of 40,000.
It enjoys distinct locational advantages. The development zone is situated east of Jianping County. It borders Shenyang and Changchun to the east, connects to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to the west, links to the "Bohai Rim Economic Zone" and Liaoning’s "Five Points and One Line Economic Belt" to the south, and borders the interior of Inner Mongolia to the north. It serves as the strategic gateway for the western route into the Pass and the key maritime corridor for Inner Mongolia. It is 150 kilometers from Jinzhou Airport, 70 kilometers from Chaoyang Airport, and 170 kilometers from Jinzhou Port. The Changshan (G25) and Danshi (G16) Expressways traverse the area; the Beijing-Dandong, Jinzhou-Chifeng, and Daye railways converge in Jianping County; and the Beijing-Shenyang to Chifeng high-speed rail line has a station in Jianping, allowing for travel to Beijing and Shenyang in just one and a half hours, providing convenient transportation conditions for the development and construction of enterprises in the Development Zone.
The county is rich in mineral resources. Jianping County boasts abundant mineral resources, with 55 types of minerals already explored and discovered. Among these, iron ore reserves exceed 1.4 billion tons, bentonite reserves exceed 250 million tons, and silica stone reserves exceed 500 million tons. Manganese, gold, porcelain stone, wollastonite, perlite, and kaolinite all possess large reserves and high quality, offering significant development potential. These mineral resources can meet the needs of the stable development of the Development Zone’s four major industries, creating a strong cost-competitive advantage in the face of intense market competition.
