Haradaokou Township, belonging to Jianping County, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, is located in the northernmost part of Jianping County, bordering Aohan Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, to the east, Burning Pot Yingzi Township to the south, Laoguandi Township to the west, and Yuanbaoshan District, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, to the north across the river, with an area of 148 square kilometers and a household population of 13,644 as of 2018.
In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), the old system of the Qing Dynasty was canceled, and a special district of Jehol was built, belonging to Jehol Province.In 1957, Haradaokou Commune was established.In 1985, Haradaokou Township was restored.In 1995, the township was withdrawn and established as a town.
