Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, prefecture-level city, the ancient name of Luling, Jizhou, is located in central Jiangxi Province, the middle reaches of the Gan River, west of Hunan Province, south of the middle section of the Luoxiao Mountains, according to the rich Jitai Plain, the terrain to the mountains, hills, mainly, is a subtropical humid climate, with a total area of 25,283 square kilometers. As of October 2022, the city has 2 districts and 10 counties under its jurisdiction, with 1 county-level city in its stead. As of the end of 2023, Ji'an had a resident population of 4,386,100.
In the early Yuan Dynasty, the city was renamed Ji'an (吉安), taking the meaning of "Jitai Min'an (吉泰民安)". On May 11, 2000, Ji'an District was abolished and the prefecture-level city of Ji'an was established. Ji'an City, within the territory of the Holy Land of Buddhism - Qingyuan Mountain, produced the Zen Qingyuan School, Ji'an is therefore famous at home and abroad. Luling culture is a regional culture created by the people of Jiangruo in Ji'an, and is an important pillar of Jiangruo culture. Ji'an has famous scenic spots such as Jinggang Mountain, Wugong Mountain, Yangshimu, Bailuzhou Academy, Jizhou Kiln, Luling Culture and Ecological Park, Wen Tianxiang Memorial Hall, ripple ripple village, PiXia Village, YanFang Ancient Village, Quick Pavilion, Crouch Beach Pei and other famous scenic spots. Ji'an has been awarded the honorary titles of China's excellent tourist city, national model city of double embrace, national forest city, national garden city, national model city of greening, national civilized city, national health city and so on. Ji'an is also an important member of the city cluster in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.
In 2023, Ji'an's gross regional product was 273.51 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.7%.
