Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, prefecture-level city, the ancient name of Luling, Jizhou, is located in central Jiangxi Province, the middle reaches of the Gan River, west of Hunan Province, south of the middle section of the Luoxiao Mountains, according to the rich Jitai Plain, the terrain to the mountains, hills, mainly, is a subtropical humid climate, with a total area of 25,283 square kilometers. As of October 2022, the city has 2 districts and 10 counties under its jurisdiction, with 1 county-level city in its stead. As of the end of 2023, Ji'an had a resident population of 4,386,100. In the early Yuan Dynasty, the city was renamed Ji'an (吉安), taking the meaning of "Jitai Min'an (吉泰民安)".
