Cambodian-Vietnamese War (Vietnamese: XungđộtbiêngiớiViệtNam-Campuchia, Khmer: សង្គ្រាមកម្ពុជា-វៀតណឌឌម), or the Vietnam-Cambodia War, the Third Indochina War, which is known in Vietnam as the Southwest Vietnam Battle of the Border Counteroffensive. It was a war that took place between December 25, 1978 and October 23, 1991. The belligerents were the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Democratic Kampuchea.
