Datong Town, belonging to Datong District, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the central part of Datong District, bordering with Changde Township, Anda City in the east, Zhu San Township and Bajingzi Township in the south, Bajingzi Township in the west, and Gao Taizi Township in the north, with an area of 110.6 square kilometers and a household population of 37,641 in 2018. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Zhaozhou Hall. In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), Datong Town was set up, belonging to Zhaozhou County.In May 1960, it was assigned to Anda City and renamed Xinxing Town.In May 1965, it was renamed Datong Town, belonging to Anda County.In April 1978, it was assigned to Anda City and belonged to Datong District. As of October 2019, Datong Town is under the jurisdiction of Yicun Village, Ercun Village, Sancun Village, Sicun Village, Tai'an Village and Minsheng Village. In 2018, Datong Town has 30 industrial enterprises, including 1 above scale, and 57 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
