A national-level economic and technological development zone, established in 2002 with the approval of the State Council, is located in Longfeng District, Daqing City, with a planned area of 85 square kilometers. The zone focuses on developing industries such as new petrochemical materials, high-end equipment manufacturing, the digital economy, and new energy, with the goal of building a “model hub for the transformation of the Oil City.”It is home to leading enterprises such as Daqing Refining & Chemical, the Volvo Automotive Engine Base, the Huawei Daqing Cloud Computing Center, and Zhonglan Petrochemical. The G16 Daguang Expressway and the Tongrang Railway run through the park, which is a 20-minute drive from Daqing East Station.By 2025, the park aims to achieve a total industrial output value of over 180 billion yuan, with the petrochemical new materials industry cluster exceeding 95 billion yuan and the digital economy sector generating 32 billion yuan in revenue. The park is a National Demonstration Base for New Industrialization and the Daqing Collaborative Zone of the Heilongjiang Free Trade Zone.Supporting facilities include the Daqing Comprehensive Bonded Zone, talent apartments, a Grade III-A hospital, and international schools. The park benefits from the combined advantages of being a national-level economic and technological development zone, special funds for the transformation of resource-based cities, and Free Trade Zone policies.
