Sihui is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province, administered by Zhaoqing. Because of the territory of the four waters (Xijiang, Beijiang, Suijiang and Longjiang) will flow of the place, so the name "Sihui". Located in the middle of Guangdong Province, east of Zhaoqing, the northwest edge of the Pearl River Delta, is located in the West, North, Sui three rivers downstream, the Tropic of Cancer bisects the territory north and south. East and Sanshui District, Foshan City, connected with Dinghu District in the south, southwest and Gaoyao District, northwest and Guangning County border, northeast and Qingyuan City, Qingxin District, adjacent to the scope of the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone. The city has a total area of 1264.38 square kilometers.At the end of 2021, Sihui had a household population of 433,800 and a resident population of 529,100.
During the Qin Dynasty, Sihui County was established.In November 1993, Sihui County was abolished and established as a city (county-level) under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province, with Zhaoqing Municipality in charge. As of June 2023, Sihui City has 4 streets and 10 towns under its jurisdiction. The municipal party committee and municipal government reside in Dongcheng Street. Scenic spots in Sihui City include Zhenshan Scenic Area, Shanhu Ecological Resort, and Waterfall Qishi River Scenic Area; attractions include Six Ancestors' Temple, Green Road, Dengcun Papermaking, Bao Lin Temple, Bao Sheng Temple, Peng Zemin's Former Residence, Baiwutai, and Feiquling Yachting Resort Center.
In 2022, Sihui City will realize a regional GDP (preliminary accounting number) of 74.354 billion yuan, an increase of 2.5% over the previous year at comparable prices.
