Weitian Township, belonging to Songxi County, Nanping City, Fujian Province, is located in the northern part of Songxi County, adjacent to Old County Township in the southeast and south, connected to Zudun Township in the southwest, neighboring ShuiBeiJie Township, Pucheng County in the northwest, bordering Xidong Township in the north, and Huangtian Township, Qingyuan County, Zhejiang Province in the northeast, with an area of 179.5 square kilometers of administrative area. As of the end of 2019, Weitian Town has a household population of 27,436.
In the second year of Song Zhidao (996), it belonged to Yongningli, Haotianli, Yongheli, and followed until the end of the Qing Dynasty.In December 1994, Weitian Township was abolished, and was reorganized as Weitian Township. As of June 2020, Weitian Township has 19 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township's people's government is located at No. 12, Baling Road.
