Yongding District, belongs to Longyan City, Fujian Province. Located in the southwest of Fujian Province, it is connected to Nanjing County in the east, Pinghe County in the southeast, bordering with Tai Po County and Meixian District in the southwest, Shanghang County in the northwest, and Xinluo District in the northeast, with a total area of 2,226.45 square kilometers.In 2022, Yongding District had a resident population of 317,000 people, and a household population of 468,000 people. As of June 2023, Yongding District has 1 street, 17 towns, and 6 townships under its jurisdiction. In the Ming Dynasty, Shanghang County was analyzed and Yongding County was established. In 2014, Yongding County was abolished and Yongding District was established. Yongding District is a famous old revolutionary area, Soviet area, overseas Chinese area, tobacco area, mining area, and the hometown of Tulou, the world cultural heritage site. It is a pure Hakka county, an important settlement and distribution center for Hakka people, one of the eight largest overseas Chinese hometowns in the province, one of the 41 high-quality tobacco base counties in the country, and one of the major mining areas in Fujian Province. In 2022, Yongding District's gross regional product was 33.638 billion yuan, an increase of 4.2% over the previous year.
