Hexi Township, belonging to Yongding District, Longyan City, Fujian Province, is located in the northwestern part of Yongding District, connected with Tangbao Township in the east, Jinsha Township and Xixi Township in the south, Nimtian Township in the west, Nimtian Township in the west, and Taiba Township and Lanxi Township in the north, 17 kilometers away from the urban area of Yongding District, with a total area of 108.5 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the household population of Hexi Township is 16,887.
In the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was part of Shengyunli; in 1984, it was changed from Hexi Commune to Hexi Township. As of June 2020, Hexi Township has 13 administrative villages; the township people's government is located in Xinan Village.
