Xinsheng Street, belonging to Qijiang District of Chongqing Municipality, is located in the north of Qijiang District, neighboring Hengshan Town in the east, connected with Wenlong Street in the south and west, and bordering Anlan Town of Banan District in the north. The total area of the district is 76 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the former Xinsheng Township had a household population of 19,967. After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was named Deshengchang and belonged to Sili.In December 1993, it was reorganized as Xinsheng Town.On December 12, 2019, the Chongqing Municipal People's Government approved the abolition of Xinsheng Town and the establishment of Xinsheng Street. As of October 2021, Xinsheng Street has 2 communities and 7 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. The street office is located at No. 8 Longyuan Street in Xinsheng Community.
