Guxi Town is located in the northeastern part of Tongnan County, situated in the economic corridor of west Chongqing as well as the northern economic zone of Tongnan County, neighboring Hechuan City and Baolong Town in the east, Longshaped Town in the south, Qunli Town, Yuxi Town and Mixin Town in the west, and bordering Pengxi County of Sichuan Province in the north. The town government is located in Guxi, 22 kilometers away from Tongnan County in the south. The town covers an area of 110.06 square kilometers, with 22 administrative villages and 9 resident groups under its jurisdiction. The population of the town is 68,072, with 21,295 households (including 16,419 agricultural households, 63,196 people; 2,322 non-agricultural households, 4,876 people). The population density of the town is 619 people per square kilometer.
