Tuchang Town, subordinate to Chongqing Hechuan District, is located in the southeastern part of Hechuan District, adjacent to Tianfu Town of Beibei District in the east, bordering with Dongyang Street and Xishantping Horticultural Farm of Beibei District in the south, connecting with Caojie Street in the west, and connecting with Shuangfeng Town and Qingping Town in the north, and is 34 km away from the seat of the People's Government of Hechuan District, with a total regional area of 42.24 square kilometers.
During the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), Tuchang Township area was first built as the main field of Tuchang; in December 1993, Tuchang Township was established by the merger of Tuchang Township and Damzi Township. As of the end of 2018, the household population of Tucha Town was 19,489. As of June 2020, Tuchang Township has three communities and four administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township's people's government is located at No. 98 Xijin Street in Tuchang.
