Dongxingtuo Town, belonging to Ninghe District of Tianjin City, is located in the northwestern part of Ninghe District, bordering Huangzhuang Town of Baodi District in the north. In the south, it shares a border with Hebei Province's Lutai Farm Xiaohaibei Town; in the west, it is across the river from Baohe District's Datangzhuang Town and Panzhuang Town; in the east, it is adjacent to Ninghe Town and Lianzhuang Township; it has a total area of 164.1 square kilometers. As of 2019, Dongxiatuo Town has a household population of 28,458. In 1983, it was divided into Zhaoben Township and Dongzaituo Township; in 2001, Zhaoben Township and Dongzaituo Township were abolished and Dongzaituo Town was merged to establish Dongzaituo Town. As of June 2020, Dongxiatuo Town has 42 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located at No. 1, Siqing Road. In 2016, Dongxintuo Township completed a financial income of 8.57 million yuan. The local general budget revenue was 19.081 million yuan.
