Established in July 1992, the Tianjin·Ninghe Economic Development Zone is a development zone approved by the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government to focus primarily on the development of an export-oriented economy and to foster industrial processing, technology-intensive, and water- and energy-saving industries.
The initial development area of the Tianjin·Ninghe Economic Development Zone covers 2 square kilometers, with a total planned area of 17 square kilometers. The nation’s policy of opening up has provided the Tianjin·Ninghe Economic Development Zone with historic development opportunities. Since its establishment, the zone has focused on improving the investment environment.
