Banqiao Town, belonging to Ninghe District, Tianjin, is located in the northeastern part of Ninghe District, connected to Fengnan District, Hebei Province, in the east, bordering Miaozhuang Town in the south, Ninghe Town across the Jijie Canal in the west, and neighboring Fengtai and Yuelong Towns in the north, with an administrative area of 47.09 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Banqiao Town had a household population of 10,316. In 1961, Banqiao Commune was established; in 1984, Banqiao Township was set up; in October 1998, Banqiao Township was abolished to build Banqiao Town.
