Nancun Town, belonging to Guangling County, Datong City, Shanxi Province, is located in the western part of Guangling County, east of Zuotong Township, south of Zhaobei Township, Lingqiu County, west of Wangxu Township, north of Liangzhuang Township, with an administrative area of 272.73 square kilometers.
In the thirty-seventh year of the Republic of China (1948), it belonged to the second district of Guangling County; in 1984, Nancun Commune was changed to Nancun Town; in 2001, Xiangfutai Township was merged into Nancun Township, and Heyao Villagers' Committee was transferred to Zuotong Township. As of the end of 2018, the household population of Nancun Town was 24,863. As of June 2020, Nancun Town has 16 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town's people's government is located in Nancun.
