Park Overview
The Jincheng Economic and Technological Development Zone was established in 1993 with the approval of the Shanxi Provincial People’s Government and was upgraded to a national-level economic and technological development zone in 2013. Located in the eastern part of Jincheng’s urban area, the zone has a planned area of 25 square kilometers. The zone focuses on developing industries such as opto-mechanical-electronic (OME), new materials, new energy, and high-end equipment manufacturing, aiming to build a core hub for the “World Optics Valley” and attracting major projects such as the Foxconn (Jincheng) Technology Industrial Park and the Jincheng Smart Manufacturing Valley. The Erguang Expressway and the Zhengzhou-Taiyuan High-Speed Railway traverse the zone, which is approximately a 10-minute drive from Jincheng East Station, ensuring convenient transportation. The zone features over 1 million square meters of standard factory space and has established a comprehensive service system including an Opto-Mechatronics Industry Research Institute, technology business incubators, and talent apartments. In 2024, the park will implement the “Thousand Engineers Recruitment and Training Program” to drive the opto-mechanical-electronic industrial cluster toward a scale exceeding 100 billion yuan. The park offers preferential policies including those applicable to national-level economic and technological development zones, special support under Shanxi Province’s “Jin Materials, Jin Use” initiative, and interest subsidies for technological upgrades.
