Overview of the Fanzhi Economic and Technological Development Zone The Fanzhi Economic and Technological Development Zone has an approved total planned area of 14 square kilometers. It adopts a “one zone, three parks” model, with the Equipment Manufacturing Park at its core, radiating to drive the Agricultural Biotechnology Park and extending to stimulate the Cultural and Creative Logistics Park. The four most representative leading enterprises in the park are: Shanxi Huamao Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., Shanxi Zhongxing Foundry Group Co., Ltd., Xinzhou Nanyuan Aluminum Co., Ltd., and Shanxi Aobo Energy & Power Co., Ltd. 1.Shanxi Huamao Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. was established in 2007 and is located in the Equipment Manufacturing Park of the Fanzhi Economic and Technological Development Zone, employing over 1,600 staff members.The company integrates production processes such as pig iron smelting, wear-resistant casting, steel rolling, wire rod production, and wire drawing, making it the only full-process steel producer in northern Shanxi. Its main product is Q195 low-carbon steel hot-rolled wire rod, which is sold to the Hengshui and Baoding regions of Hebei, as well as the Datong and Shuozhou regions of Shanxi.2. Shanxi Zhongxing Foundry Group Co., Ltd. was established in 2007 and is located in the Equipment Manufacturing Park of the Fanzhi Economic and Technological Development Zone. With abundant resources and convenient transportation, the company occupies an area of 400,000 square meters. It is a comprehensive industrial chain group in the Xinzhou region that integrates iron ore mining, ore beneficiation, iron ore powder smelting, casting processing, and machinery manufacturing.The company currently has fixed assets of 800 million yuan and employs over 1,500 people, including more than 420 management and technical staff. Its annual output value has now risen to third place in China’s recycled aluminum industry, and its production processes and facilities are set to reach the top tier in the domestic industry.The company currently generates an annual output value of over 3 billion yuan, contributes more than 300 million yuan in tax revenue, and provides over 200 jobs. Shanxi Xutai Northern Brewing Co., Ltd. (also known as Daizhou Huangjiu Brewing Co., Ltd.) is a mixed-ownership enterprise established through the transformation of Shanxi Xutai Mining Development Co., Ltd.—a traditional iron ore mining and beneficiation company—in partnership with Shanxi Northern Brewing Co., Ltd. (a state-owned enterprise). It serves as a flagship project for Fanzhi County’s implementation of the agricultural “specialty” and “premium” strategy and is one of the key projects within Xinzhou City’s six major industrial clusters for the deep processing of agricultural products.2. Fanzhi County Hengyu Natural Herbal Resources Co., Ltd. was established in 2017 and is located in the Fanzhi County Agricultural Biotechnology Park.
