Park Overview
The Xinrong Economic and Technological Development Zone was established in January 2019 following approval by the provincial government. With a total planned area of 18.98 square kilometers, it comprises four industrial parks: the Huayuantun New Materials Industrial Park, the Gudian Logistics and Manufacturing Park, the Desheng Transformation Demonstration Industrial Zone, and the Jin-Mongolia Emerging Industries Cooperation Park. The zone currently hosts 110 enterprises, including 16 industrial enterprises above designated size, 20 strategic emerging enterprises, and 8 high-tech enterprises.
The Huayuantun New Materials Industrial Park is located in Huayuantun Town, Xinrong District, and serves as the headquarters of the Xinrong Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee. It is situated 7 kilometers from the administrative center of Datong City and has a planned area of 7.57 square kilometers. The park focuses on developing industries such as new materials, new energy, equipment manufacturing, and big data.
The Desheng Transformation Demonstration Industrial Park is situated 3.5 kilometers south of the Xinrong District Government. With a planned area of 3.69 square kilometers, it is bordered by the S30 Dahuh Expressway to the north and National Highway G109 to the south. The park focuses on the development of graphite materials and energy-saving and environmental protection industries.
