Longquan Town, belonging to Yanggao County, Datong City, Shanxi Province, is located in the central part of Yanggao County, neighboring Luowensha Township in the east, Wangguantun Township, Shimoushenjing Township and Dabaideng Township in the south, Changcheng Township in the west, and Guantunbao Township of Fengzhen City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in the north, with an area of administrative area of about 245.77 square kilometers. In 1949, it belonged to Chengguan District of Yanggao County; in February 2001, Sunrenbao Township and Chengguan Township merged to form Longquan Town. As of the end of 2018, Longquan Town had a household population of 90,426. As of June 2020, Longquan Town has 15 communities and 26 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the town's people's government stationed at 120 Yunmen Street.
