Yangxi Town, belonging to Shehong City, Suining City, Sichuan Province, is located in the eastern part of Shehong City, connecting Jinhe Township and Guansheng Township in the east, Qingdi Township in the south, Quhe Township and Liushu Township in the west, and Dayu Township in the north. The area is 69.78 square kilometers, with a household population of 54,043 as of the end of 2018. At the beginning of Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Sanya of Wuben Township.In 1950, it was changed to Yangxi Township.In 1958, it was changed to Huxi Commune.In 1984, the commune was changed to a township.In 1985, it was renamed Yangxi Township.In 1992, the three townships of Gufo, Mutual Aid, and Xinxi were merged into the township.
