Pujiang County, belonging to Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, is located at the southwest edge of Chengdu Plain, between latitude 30°05'~30°21'N and longitude 103°19'~103°41'E. It belongs to the humid subtropical climate zone of the Sichuan Basin, which is mild all the year round without any severe heat or cold, with a total area of 580.14 square kilometers. As of the end of 2021, the resident population of Pujiang County was 258,622. Pujiang County is an ancient territory of Shu, and was founded in the first year of Gongdi of the Western Wei Dynasty in the Northern Dynasties (554).In October 1962, Pujiang County was reset.Since March 1983, the county was transferred to Chengdu City, and the system of municipal administration of the county has been implemented. Pujiang County is adjacent to the Tianfu New Area, which is the main gateway to Tibet and Yunnan. The Chengdu-Pu Railway, G5 Jingkun Expressway and Chengdu Economic Zone Loop Highway pass through the county, and Pujiang Railway Logistics Port is included in the logistics system of Chengdu "five ports and six centers", which is an important logistics base for the new land and sea corridor in the western part of the country.
Pujiang County has two national AAAA level tourist attractions (Shixiang Lake Ecological Scenic Area, Chengjia Tea Town Scenic Area), one national AAA level tourist attraction (Cherry Hill Scenic Area), with a forest coverage rate of 67.04%, known as the natural oxygen bar, and enjoys the reputation of the national ecological civilization construction demonstration counties, the national key counties of recreational agriculture, and the province's advanced counties for the development of the county economy.
In 2021, Pujiang County completed the gross regional product of 2,039,440,000 yuan, an increase of 8.7% over the previous year.
