Park Overview
Established in 1988, the Chengdu High-Tech Zone was designated as one of China’s first national-level high-tech zones in 1991. In 2006, it was identified by the Ministry of Science and Technology as a pilot zone for building “world-class high-tech parks.” In 2015, it was approved by the State Council as the first National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone in Western China. It serves as the core area of both the Sichuan Comprehensive Innovation and Reform Pilot Zone and the China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
