Shaqu Town (withdrawn), formerly belonging to Dayi County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, is located in the southeastern end of Dayi County, east of Chongzhou City, Sanjiang Town, across the river, south of Xinjin County, Wenjing Township, west of Caichang Township, and north of Dongchang Township. The town people's government is 25 kilometers away from Dayi County. The total area is 18.79 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Shaqu Town had a household population of 17,712. Tang belonged to Qiongzhouan County Shaliang Township, and later belonged to Dayi County Berlin Township.In December 2001, the township was changed to a town. As of October 2019, Shaqu Town has 1 community and 5 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is stationed at No. 78 Qinzheng Street.On December 23, 2019, Shaqu Town, Dongchang Town, Caichang Town, Shang'an Town, Hanchang Town, Sujia Town, Sanqiao Town, Shiyuan Town and Qingxia Town were abolished, and Shaqu Streets and Qingxia Streets were established. In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Shaqu Town was 9,134 yuan. As of the end of 2019, Shaqu Town had 233 industrial enterprises, including 45 above scale, and 70 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
