Yuanbaoshan Town, belonging to Yuanbaoshan District, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the northeastern part of Yuanbaoshan District, bordering with Fengshuigou Town in the east, looking across the Laoha River in the southeast with Laoguandi Town, Jianping County, Liaoning Province, connecting to the Beautiful River Town in the south, adjoining Hongmiaozi Town in Hongshan District in the west, and looking across Yinhe River with Xajiadian Township, Songshan District, in the north. The area covers 314.04 square kilometers. As of the end of 2018, the household population was 48,276. In 1958, Jianchangying Commune was established.In October 1961, Jianchangying Commune was renamed Yuanbaoshan Commune.In 1966, it was renamed Xinshan Commune.In June 1975, Xinshan Commune was restored to Yuanbaoshan Commune.In March 1984, Yuanbaoshan Commune was changed to Bajia Town.In July 1987, Bajia Town was changed to Yuanbaoshan Town. As of June 2020, Yuanbaoshan Town has 16 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. As of the end of 2018, Yuanbaoshan Town has 35 industrial enterprises, including 1 industrial enterprise above scale, and 45 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
