Hongmiaozi Town, belonging to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Chifeng City, Hongshan District, is located in the eastern part of Hongshan District, east and south and Yuanbaoshan District, Yuanbaoshan Town, west and Hongshan District, Dongcheng Street adjacent to the north of the Yingjin River as the boundary with Songshan District, Xiajiajian Town, across the river. The area covers 60.93 square kilometers. As of the end of 2018, the household population was 19,276. In February 1961, Chengjiao Commune was divided into Hongmiaozi, Chengjiao, Wusan3 Commune.On October 25, 1962, Chifeng City analyzed Hongmiaozi Commune into 2 communes, Hongmiaozi and Wangjiadian.On May 14, 1968, the Revolutionary Committee of Hongmiaozi Commune was established.In December 1983, Hongmiaozi Commune was changed to a township, which belonged to Hongshan District.In August 1988, Hongmiaozi Township was changed to a township.In June 2020 , Hongmiaozi Township has 1 community and 5 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. In 2018, Hongmiaozi Town has 10 industrial enterprises and 65 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
