Linhe District, Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region jurisdiction, is located in the western part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Bayannur City, south, is located in the top of the Yellow River "a few" bends, the Hetao Plain hinterland, belongs to the mid-temperate zone semi-dry continental climate, adjacent to the five banners, counties, with a total area of 2,333 square kilometers. Linhe District is named because it is located on the north bank of the Yellow River, facing the Yellow River in the south. In the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929), the establishment of Linhe County; in 1954, under the Hetao Administrative Region; in July 1958, under the Bayannur League; in 1984, the abolition of Linhe County, the establishment of county-level Linhe City; August 26, 2004, the abolition of the Bayannur League, the county-level Linhe City, the establishment of the city of Bayannur, Linhe District. On Nov. 18, 2021, Linhe District was selected to be on the list of "Four Good Rural Roads" National Demonstration Counties.
In 2022, Linhe District realized a gross domestic product (GDP) of 34.734 billion yuan, up 2.1% year-on-year. Among them, the added value of primary industry was 8.088 billion yuan, up 4.2% year-on-year; the added value of secondary industry was 9.665 billion yuan, up 0.5% year-on-year; the added value of tertiary industry was 16.981 billion yuan, up 2.1% year-on-year.
