Ulantuq town, belonging to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Bayannur City, Linhe District, is located in the northeastern part of Linhe District, east and Wuyuan County adjacent to the south and Bayi street connected to the west and the town of Wolf Mountain bordering the north according to the Shaan five highway. The area of the district is 296.65 square kilometers. As of the end of 2018, the household population of Ulantuq Town was 36,151.
In April 1961, it was Banchenzhao Commune (named for the presence of Banchenzhao in its territory).In August 1999, Ulantuq Township was changed to a town.In February 2006, Longsheng Township was merged into Ulantuq Township. As of June 2020, Ulantuk Township has 14 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located in Hongqi Village.
