Tiexi District, belonging to Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, is one of the central urban areas of Shenyang, bordered by Huanggu District and Yuhong District in the north, Liaodong District in the west, and Heping District and Sujiatun District in the east. According to the seventh population census, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Tiexi District was 1,335,935 people. Tiexi District is located in the southwest of the main city of Shenyang, with an area of 488 square kilometers, under the jurisdiction of 14 streets. By the main city of Tiexi, Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Sino-German (Shenyang) High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park co-location and become, is the national equipment manufacturing industry centralized layout of an important area, is the core area of industrial development in Shenyang City. In 2009, the Industrial Development Plan of Tiexi Equipment Manufacturing Gathering Area was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission.In September 2018, Tiexi District was awarded the 2018 China Top 100 District. In 2019, Tiexi District completed a gross regional product of 98.23 billion yuan; general public budget revenue of 11.84 billion yuan, with a tax share of 92%; and per capita disposable income of urban residents of 47,373 yuan.In 2020, the GDP of Tiexi District was 100.2 billion yuan, with an increase of 2.8%.
