Zhuanghe City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Liaoning Province, administered by Dalian City, is located in the southern part of the eastern side of the Liaodong Peninsula, on the north coast of the Yellow Sea, in a hilly, low-mountainous area, part of the southern extension of the Thousand Hills Range, with a total area of 4,113.6 square kilometers (including the Dalian Huayuankou Economic Zone). As of May 2023, the city has 5 streets, 15 towns and 6 townships under its jurisdiction, with a resident population of 742,000 people. On September 21, 1992, Zhuanghe was abolished as a county and established as a city. Zhuanghe City, the whole area of the water system, dense river, rich in water conservation, is an important water source in Dalian; National Geopark, 4A Bingyu Tourist Resort; is located in the core of the Northeast Asian Economic Circle and the North Yellow Sea opening up to the outside world, the Zhuanghe Port for the state a class of open ports, Danda Expressway and Zhuanggei Expressway with 201, 305 National Highway connected to the Shenyang-Dalian, Shenyang-Danzhou Expressway, constituting a ring-type highway network; Danda Express Railway connection; Danda Rapid Railway, a fast rail link. The Danda Express Railway connects to the Northeast Railway Network and directly reaches the Far East of Russia. in March 2020, it was awarded the title of Advanced County of National Village Cleaning Action, and was notified by the Central Agricultural Office and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for its commendation. In 2022, Zhuanghe City's gross regional product will be 58.31 billion yuan, an increase of 1.5%.
